Hi, my name is Gunseli Sepici (aka Miss Marionette). I was born and grew up in Istanbul, Turkey and I still live here. When I was a child, I used to ask my granddad to draw bicycles for me every single day, which ended up as a sketchbook that had a huge collection of colorful bicycles drawn by him. Thanks to him and his patience, I found my own way of drawing in the end, and ever since, I keep drawing girl illustrations everywhere. (Yes, my bicycle obsession had ended at the age of 4)
I started with princess drawings like every girl (or let’s say, most girls) in the world and I’m currently focused on my eyes-closed and nearly-always-blushing girls. And since I love fashion, my characters love it too.
I am a self-taught artist, I have never taken art classes, and I’m currently a sophomore at Communication Department in Galatasaray University.
In addition to doodling and drawing, I also like to create littlest things with polymer clay. Actually, Miss Marionette first appeared as the label of my handmade products (brooches, earrings and necklaces) which were sold in a fashion boutique.
